I have become comfortably numb.

I am in the thick of studying for finals, yet I am extremely calm. I think I surpassed the amount of stress and anxiety a person can go through, and am just in a numbed daze. I am studying but not in the panicked hyper mode I think I should be in. It is a bit nerve recking. Not sure how next week is going to turn out. I have moments of anxiety and want to cry. I just tell myself it is all good, and that it doesn't matter (even though it does on so many levels). I don't let myself think about my rush to graduate so that Joey and I won't be separated for more than a semester when he goes to grad school. I don't let myself think about the possibility of failing logic, and what will happen when I owe for my student loans. Ok I constantly think about those things! Just gotta Take it a day at a time. I have My Italian and Japanese art history final on wednesday. Then I hurry up to type a 6 page paper and finish my last logic assignment over the weekend, all while going to chicago for joey's birthday (why must you be born during finals?!). Then tuesday and wednesday one more art history final (just my survey course) and the dreaded logic final. It pretty much will make or break me passing the class. sooooo holy crap! Can't wait til that test is done and we are flying to Reno for christmas! I will be out of this mental fog, and will be such a better person to be around!
see you after finals!

I'm a new soul

Joey came home from work today and asked me if I wanted a new laptop. I wasn't sure how to answer. Then he said actually you need a new laptop. Guess my mini laptop had finally broke beyond repair. Which really sucks because it is not even 6months old yet. I have a paper due tomorrow so YES I NEED a new laptop ASAP! I have been pushing for a Mac lately, but we all know how Joey feels about Apple products.
We drove to Walmart looking for the best deal on a laptop, but found the selection to be quite like the demographics of the store...GHETTO. Nothing against Walmart though I hate that company, but this particular store is anything but classy. Anyways we trucked it out of there barely being accepted by the receipt checker to make sure Joey didn't steal the Code Red and $5 slippers. We drove across town in rush hour traffic to Best Buy. Had to deal with way too many overeager nerds asking if we need help. I wanted to say back off buddy my man is an ultranerd too...we've got this covered. Scanning over laptops checking to see what had the best "specs" (I think that is the correct term) to price, I kept longingly gazing to the beautiful white apple section of laptops. I kept throwing in there "mac"? " "apple"?, but Joey would just shirk and give a bitter but true remark about their overpriced merchandise while being the same as a laptop. We were making comparisons when the Mac guy came to ask if we needed help. Joey stirred the pot a bit with him, and in turn we had to listen to a 5 minute lecture about why macs are better than pcs. I wanted to be like dude don't waste your time on this guy. We found the laptop and checked out.
While walking to the car I was kinda sad...sulking. Joey was like whats wrong? Me being a spoiled brat (hey at least I can admit it) said I wanted a mac. I was giving my case once again how much better it would be yada yada yada, and finally the unthinkable came. He caved. "If you want the Mac then lets go get it". I said no at first thinking this was some sort of reverse psychology trick. Before we had left the mall parking lot. I turned around and booked it back to best buy. Made the return and purchased a MacBook Air. This lovely little baby is my Christmas/Anniversary/Birthday present, and I love it! I love Joey so much, and am so happy he let me get this! Even though it is overpriced and whatnot I am Mac girl, and once you go mac you can't go bac. Thanks for spoiling me sweetheart! Muwah
yay new computer!
gotta show off my amazing decorating skills for christmas

Dark Cloud Approaches

This has probably been the most stressful semester of my life! UW Madison is hard! As hard as it is though I love it. I love this university and my major (Art history). I am starting to lose motivation to study though with the excitements of the holidays. We are going to Reno for Christmas, and I am going home in January for Jade's wedding! I seriously can not wait! As for now I need to find me some Adderall and push through til December 21st. Then I am free for a month! I will get some pics of our apartment decorated for Christmas, and I need to get a family photo asap! We don't have one with the four of us. This photo sums up my study skills lately. I need a kick in the pants for motivation! Ps once finals are over I need to figure out how to make my blog look less boring...and I need to catch up on all my magazines/ tv shows (VS fashion show!)/ laundry/ physical health.

Happy Birthday Dadio!

Today is Johnny White Junior's birthday. I am at work sitting in the contact center @ UW Credit Union, so my photo options are limited to the internet...and facebook is prohibited (torture I know). I found this lovely photo of my dad on johnwhite&associates.com. He is 62 today? Pretty sure. Well just wanted to wish him a happy happy day, and that he gets to eat some cake! My favorite birthday memory of his is when he turned 60 and my bros made a music video for him. Check out John is turning 60 on youtube...will not dissapoint!

My dad is the best dad in the world, and I am so glad he was born! Love you dad!

...Here is a cake incase mom "forgets" to get you one

Sudden Interest

In the past week I have had two friends ask for my blog address. You all must think I write such beautiful posts that you want my blog to become inspired. That's understandable. I haven't updated in forever so I am sorry, but I will get back to writing on here...just not right now. Procrastinate is my middle name!

Six degrees

It is december, and it is time for a plater updater session. Joey and I are just enjoying the freezing temperatures here in the midwest. I work at UW Credit Union and Gigi's cupcakes. Two great jobs...gigi's is way more fun though. It is a nice balance.
Being a teller helps me with being professional and learn how to be smart with finances for free. While making cupcakes is happy time. I get my baking urges satisfied, I get gossip time with the ladies, and I get free cupcakes. Yeah work life is good right now. It is extremely busy, but I like it.
I am also taking a match class at MATC Madison. I am almost done with it!! Even better I am going to pass!!! Yes passing college algebra will probably be one of my biggest accomplishments in life. I have attempted this class three other times so the 4th better be the charm. You could say math isn't my strong suit. Or you could say that College Algebra is ridiculous and should burn in Hell. You choose.
It is ironic how I hate math but work at a bank. At a bank though it is simple math, and you get to use a calculator on your computer while it looks like you are doing fancy things to look up the member's account.
Joey's job is going just dandily. So are is fish. He has three gorgeous blue discus that are trying to make babies. Either they or the tetras are eating their eggs though. Stupid fish we want to create life!
We tried curling a couple weeks ago. That was interesting. Joey was a natural, and well, I was extremely awkward. I feel like Joey discovers the strangest talents. Such as this curling sport. Another is his knitting skills. I would blame that on his mother though. She is awesome at that kind of stuff.
Other than working and school, our lives aren't too eventful. Unless you consider hours of Call of Duty Black Ops with our neighbor as such, then we party like rock stars everyday.
We will be in Utah on the 17th...can't wait! We are going to party and ski and attend/ be a part of a Rockin wedding!
Siehe bald!

Long time no see

Hey everyone sorry for not updating regularly I am one busy lady! I have been working lots at Pier 1 Imports, and I like it there more now. I have learned to overcome boredom for the most part, and I have made some pretty cool friends.

This past week I have been in formal training for my 2nd job as a teller at UW Credit Union. I have one more week of seminars and "training" on how amazing UW Credit Union is. In the afternoons I get to go to the branch that I will be working at to get my feet wet as a teller. I like that part of my day because I get to be around lots of different people, and start to befriend my coworkers. Working at this bank will be super cool I am on state street and a stones throw away from UW campus. It is the mecca for UW students, bums, and all other madisonians to hang out shop, and have a merry old time. I have been warned not to step in the occasional dried up vomit on the sidewalk from the night before, and that there are about 4 bums (which names I can't remember) who are regulars on state street and are totally harmless.

Joey still likes his job and has just moved into his official office. The building is really cool and Asian themed. He is in the process of creating his best tank yet in his office right now. It is also going to be in the Takashi Amano style like my tank. I love visiting Joey's office because every floor has a coffee room with free juice, milk and chocolate milk! Also in a big cabinet there are millions of assorted tea bags so I like to steal the herbal ones for my collection at home. Eating lunch here is also super amazing. The food is delish and out of control cheap.

Weather in Wisconsin is pretty intense sometimes. It actually rains here for starters. In Utah it sprinkles, in Wisconsin? it pours! Lots of rain and huge lightning storms I love it! I actually think I prefer rainy days over hot sunny ones...yes I know I'm a little bit crazy. The other night it was stormy looking and the sky was really dark towards the north. Then all of a sudden the sky went pumpkin orange. I am not exaggerating. I was at work when it happened and my manager was calling people asking if tornado warnings had gone out when all of a sudden lightning struck somewhere close because all the windows in the store shook! I was kinda freaking out inside, but then we found out that orange sky means hail, and greenish sky means tornadoes. The storm passed and we all lived.

Last night Joey and I went to a restaurant called Bluephies which we found most tasty. I had "the Bluephie" which is their signature sandwich with turkey, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, some type of delicious aioli sauce, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and yummy bread. Joey had a hard core mac n cheese with chicken, broccoli, onions removed, three cheese blend and topped with a panko bread crumb mixture. As for dessert I ordered the "chocolate cookie dough egg rolls". Yes basically they are two deep fried rolls of cookie dough with vanilla frozen custard to wash it down with. I love the food here! Just have to run a little more the next day. Just FYI in general the traditional cuisine of Wisconsin is greasy, meaty, cheesy, and probably full of nitrates and other harsh chemicals. "Moderation in all things" haha.

After Bluephies we walked to the nearby park which is a lake and chilled for a bit. There was a band playing, people playing soccer, Frisbee, horseshoe, canoeing on the lake etc. It was very picturesque. At the shore of the lake there were some gals log rolling! They were training for the competition that was going to be the next day. It was really cool to watch, they make it look very easy.

I think that is all that is new around here...my birthday is next monday!! I am super excited, just wish I could participate in the things that turning 21 represents. Oh well. There is a restaurant here in Madison called the Nitty Gritty and it is THE place to go for your birthday. I guess it is a City tradition, but that tradition is most likely based on the free mug you get that has unlimited beer refills. My friends at work tell me that is the first stop you make when you turn 21. Get in as much beer as you can, then head to a fun bar for the hard stuff. I asked how the food was, but they didn't know they went there to get drunk not eat haha. As for my 21st birthday celebrating plans I am not quite sure I might want to go to Chicago but we will see. I want cross country skis though if anyone was going to ask what I want..that and money. Thanks!

Stay classy everyone
